A Hotel Review of the Crowne Plaza Manama (Bahrain), an IHG hotel

I recently spent a week at the Crowne Plaza Manama (Bahrain), an IHG hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Bahrain's capital city, Manama. The hotel is a 4-star property and offers a wide range of services and amenities for both business and leisure travelers. I had a great experience with this hotel and found it to be a great option for those on a tight budget who want to maximize their time in Bahrain.

The Rooms

Upon entering the hotel, you're instantly greeted by the Crowne Plaza Manama's signature lobby. The lobby has a modern and airy feel to it and is home to various shops and restaurants. The Crowne Plaza also offers two different types of rooms: Superior Rooms and Executive Suites.

Superior Rooms are perfect for those who do not want to pay for an upgrade but still want a comfortable place to stay in Bahrain. Located on the ground floor, these rooms offer good natural lighting and space - both of which are rare when staying at budget hotels in Bahrain. While these rooms may come with fewer amenities than the hotel's Executive Suites, they're perfect for solo travelers or small families who just need a place to sleep after their day in Bahrain.

Executive Suites offer more spacious accommodations that would be perfect for larger families or groups of up to four people traveling together. These suites have their own living area, kitchenette, separate bedroom, and private balcony with amazing views of Manama's skyline. In addition to the suite-like amenities, these rooms also come equipped with a coffee machine and complimentary Wi-Fi service.

In my opinion, the Executive Suite was worth every penny! It offered me ample space for myself

Location

and general overview of the hotel

The Crowne Plaza Manama is located in the center of the capital city and is within walking distance from popular restaurants, attractions, and other hotels.

There are two towers that make up the hotel - a 17 story tower and a 24 story tower. The first thing I noticed about this property was that it's not as large as other 4-star hotels I've been to. While this makes sense given its location in Bahrain, it still feels like it has everything you need for your stay.

The lobby is sleek and modern with marble floors and contemporary art on the walls. There's also a bar near the reception desk where guests can grab a quick drink before exploring more of the property.

The rooms at this hotel all offer high-speed internet access and cable TV with CNN International so you can stay current with current affairs or just relax for an evening after a long day of meetings or sightseeing.

I had an executive room which offered me more space than most other hotels throughout Bahrain do. It came with a king-size bed, comfortable couch, large LCD TV, work desk, and complimentary wifi.

Service

The Crowne Plaza Manama offers a variety of services and amenities to suit the needs of all travelers. The hotel offers a wide range of cuisine at its on-site restaurants and bars, which include:

-Tropical Bar and Grill

-Moroccan Palace Restaurant

-Saffron Indian Food Restaurant

-Caffe Cino

-Bahrain Fish Market

In addition to its on-site restaurants, the Crowne Plaza Manama offers room service for guests who want to enjoy their meal in the comfort of their own room. If you're looking for something healthier than what's offered at the hotel's restaurants, you can visit Panorama for an array of fresh salads and sandwiches. For those with a sweet tooth, there is also a Caffe Cino on site that serves up delicious desserts. The Crowne Plaza also has a fitness center that provides access to cardio machines and free weights while providing plenty of natural light from the many windows in the facility. The Crowne Plaza Manama has plenty to offer in terms of service!

Facilities

The Crowne Plaza Manama (Bahrain) offers a wide range of services and amenities for both business and leisure travelers. If you're spending time in Bahrain on business, there are several meeting rooms that can accommodate groups from 2 to 36 people.

It's also great for leisure travelers with multiple foods and drink options, including the popular Caspian Restaurant and Lounge with its incredible views overlooking the city of Manama. The hotel is located within walking distance of some of Bahrain's most popular tourist sites, like Fort Manama and Isa Town. This is an easy way to explore more of Bahrain while staying at a 4-star property on a budget.

Restaurants

The restaurants at the hotel are one of the most popular features. The restaurant offers buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As a business traveler, I found that having breakfast at the hotel made it easy to maximize my time since I had access to free WiFi and didn't have to wait in line for coffee.

For lunch and dinner, the buffet had plenty of options for everyone in my group. They had a mix of Middle Eastern dishes like hummus and falafel but also had pasta dishes and hamburgers if you wanted something quick. There was also an assortment of desserts like baklava and ice cream which were delicious.

The Crowne Plaza is located in the heart of Bahrain's capital city, Manama. So it is not too far from attractions like the Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in Bahrain, or Isa Town Market Place where you can get everything from clothes to spices to souvenirs.

Breakfast

Breakfast was included in my stay and the variety of food that was offered was quite impressive. There were several types of bread, pastries, and fruit available for breakfast.

Lunch

The Crowne Plaza Manama has a restaurant on-site, as well as room service. I ordered both the Indian and Mediterranean flavors of the hotel's buffet lunch. The food was very tasty and there were plenty of options to choose from.

The Indian and Mediterranean buffets offered a wide range of dishes, so I was able to try a variety of great-tasting foods throughout my stay. I enjoyed the naan bread served with butter and garlic sauce, as well as the flavorful chicken tikka masala served in a mild cream sauce.

I also tried the Egyptian salad with grilled meat which had a nice minty flavor with its fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cucumbers, olive oil, lemon juice, and spices. There were also some delicious desserts to choose from!

Dinner

One of my favorite things about the Crowne Plaza (Bahrain) was the wide range of dining options. There are several restaurants on-site, including a Lebanese restaurant that offers a free buffet for dinner. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.

There's also an outdoor pool which offers lunch and dinner service. I had lunch there one day when I just wanted to lounge at the pool. The menu offers a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, all with great flavor!
